KeShown Life Story
On Monday, February 16, 2026, KeShown “Bear” Clevon Lake tragically passed away at the age of 24.
KeShown was born on August 31, 2001, to Sharhonda Thomas and Ernest Lake Jr. in Seaford, Delaware. He was raised in Laurel, Delaware, where he attended Laurel Public Schools. From an early age, KeShown lived life to the fullest. Affectionately known as “Bear,” he was respected wherever he went. His warm, loving spirit and affectionate personality left an impression on everyone blessed to be in his presence.
Bear’s favorite pastime was spending quality time with his family, especially his siblings, Man and Ija. Their bond was truly one of a kind. He was fiercely protective and would do anything to make sure his family was cared for in every situation. KeShown was also gifted with a natural talent for rapping, using music to express himself and connect with others.
In addition to his parents, KeShown leaves to cherish his memory his unborn child, KeShown Kartel Shykeim Lake; his loving sister, Teija Lake; two nieces, A’Nyrah and AeSiah; three nephews, Da’Jour, Jaeour, and Quintae Jr.; maternal grandfather, Ricky Smith; paternal grandmother, Margaret Lake; uncle, Ricky Thomas; aunts, Tervonda Harris (Herbert), Shonda Land (Kevin), Yolanda Thomas, Shaunte Nichols, and Angela Dobson; godmother, Catonya Wilson; god sister, MyKira Allen; and a host of extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
KeShown was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cynthia Thomas, and Ernest Lake Sr.; big brother, Da’Quan Lake; uncle, Marcus Lake; and great-uncle, Barry Baynard.
Bear’s love, laughter, and unforgettable presence will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
