DEAN GILBERT WEBB, SR., 74, of Easton, Maryland, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the University of Marland.
Dean was born on June 12, 1951, along with two other brothers, Douglas and Donald Webb, Sr., to Charles and Mamie Webb Ricks. Dean and his brothers were the first African American triplets born in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, and they were married in the same year (bicentennial year 1976).
Dean was educated in Talbot County school where he graduated on the class of 1972. Dean had various jobs, Worm Produce, Hanks Seafood; State Highway Administration, where he retired after 40 years of service. Dean enjoyed being with family and friends at family gatherings, especially his sons and grandsons. His hobbies included fishing, scratching tickets, riding motorcycles, and driving trucks. His favorite saying was “What the hell?”
Dean leaves to mourn: his wife of 50 years, Ida E. Webb; three children, Dean Webb, Jr. (Heather), Dontae Webb (Azuree), and Olympia Cheers; eight grandchildren, Dre’quon, Jordan, Daylen, Idris, De’breon, Tarez, Brianna, and Daria; great-grandchildren, Dondre, D’mari, KhyLin, Asaan, and Rhylin; sisters, Genevie, Althea, and Terry Ann; mother-in-law, Ida Mae Leatherberry; sisters-in-law, Fenola, Maxine, Laverne, and Cecelia; one brother-in-law, William Leatherberry, Jr. (Keona); countless nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends including special friends, Wilbur Martin and Joe Wilson.
